Things I'll Never Understand

God's love

How dryers "eat" my socks

Lines, slopes, graphs, math stuff

Why your heart loves some people and not others

Calculators

How boys think

How we see color

Why people raised in the same household turn out so different

How a phone works

How the mind can store so much information at one time about so many different things

How leaves change colors in the fall

Why babies make me feel happy inside

How a very tiny computer chip can "know" and do so much

Revelations

Why I can cry at the drop of a hat and some people rarely shed a tear

Why girls can be so cruel

How people can walk through life knowing the truth and ignore God

Why a smile makes me smile

I guess some things aren't meant for us to understand. And maybe, someday things will be revealed and we will get a glimpse of all He has for us to know.

What is something you don't understand?

natalie, I have trouble capitalizing your name now, because on my IM, your name is always "natalie" and Natalie Knochel's is always "Natalie," so if I type Natalie it looks like the wrong person. Just thought I'd share that.

My favorite one that you listed was:

Why people raised in the same household turn out so different.

Things I'll Never Understand:

• Why looking at the stars never gets old.
• Why I don't learn from mistakes.

This may not relate, but I think it's great. Found it in RD.

Q. Can a man and woman ever be just friends?

A. For a short time perhaps. Making the friendship last requires that you find each other at least vaguely repulsive.

comments?

Looking at the stars, that never gets old for me either.

Haha. I don't think that's true. Well... maybe a little. But not in all situations.

hmmm, I don't know about that either David. That said, we are friends (no correlation to your comment, just thought it'd be weird.....

weird).

Things I won't fully understand, well the most would be

GOD

and

how girls get make up to come off (had to deal with it in plays/muscials).

That's a generally disturbing post.

How 'bout why people pay Halmark to speak for them on the ocassions that are so special that they require cards?
Or why people think that looking/acting like everyone else makes them stand out as "cool?"
Or why poetry can caryying me into a beautiful new world.
Or why on earth people like those really box-shaped cars like Elements.

natalie, check this out--you'll find you have at least a couple things in common :)

And great comments about one-way streets and Hallmark cards, I totally agree!

And for the record, I think that RD article was DEAD on. I'm going to believe everything they say from now on.

natalie, this is a great post--you'll be sorry you ever told me that I don't ever comment on your blog :)

I never can figure out those moving Christmas lights. They look like they are moving but did you know that they really aren't moving at all.
David: I think that a man and woman can have a plenty deep and long relationship without it becoming more than friends. Both parties have to be very mature and truthful with themselves as well as the other person.

I love it! I could identify with a number of hers. What is up with Brad Pitt? And tan skin?

Another one of mine- Why He lets 15 year old girls get pregnant and not a married couple who would be able to love and support a child.

And another:

Not that I listen to them all that much, but why are all the contemporary Christian radio stations referring to themselves as "Family Friendly" or "Positive Alternative" ?

Blogger natz said...

why not? i'm confused.

i agree on most of those. you know i understand the math, etc. ones...:) i'll also agree with david's first two things. and morgan's on how women think. shoot pretty much everything everyone else has said too. although, i bet i could figure out the double-wrapped gum. there's GOT to be a reason. and to add one:

why people complain about things they cannot change.

Beeg, I'm glad my blog can be of use when you are bored. I like your new titles too. You should write in. I'd sign a petition if you want.

Scott, I agree. Complaining when you can't change anything. But I do that all the time, so who am I to talk?

5:30 PM

The reason the radio thing bugs me is because those stations used to call themselves some kind of title with the word "Christian" in it, and now they've removed it. Maybe I'm paranoid, but I feel like someone who owns the stations are making people remove the word "Christian" from the description of the music. Does anybody know what I'm talking about, or am I just crunking in the wind here?

ahh, i gotcha.

by the way, i really like the word 'crunk'

crunk? google it and i don't think you'll like it as much. especially the first link.

Gum is double wrapped just so that you can create a long gum wrapper chain without having to chew all the gum up at once.

Family Friendly doesn't bother me at all...perhaps because I am a housewife.

Which leads us to another thing you might not understand....Why is an "old lady" who doesn't even know you reading blogs by college students? Doesn't she have a life?

4:12 PM
Blogger Morgan said...

Beeg, I can honestly say that when I wrote this one V-Day didn't even cross my mind.

Honest!

Btw, I'm better now. Thanks for caring. :P

Scott- you're right.

Priscilla- Thanks for the explanation. :) I'm glad you read our blogs and we get your input! Don't worry, I'm sure you have a life. :)

Jake- I know! But I do this all the time. I'm a bottled water junkie because water is basically all I drink. I used to just fill up a bottle from the tap when I was done, but then I found out that's not healthy or something. So I buy Sam's water really cheap.

I love posts like these. I love the question "Why" and even more, the notion, "What if..." It's best not to get me started.

Dave- I liked the quote a lot. I laughed. I think it could definitely be true, but somehow I do believe it depends on the situation.

I don't understand people that are unemployed for years and just life off of government money and then spend it on cigarettes or lottery tickets.

I miss you Natz...
